From Maureen Baziuk   (July 2016)
On a recent walk at Assiniboine Park we met a couple of other Wheatens. In conversation with the owner we learned that these 2 Wheaties, Morgan & Stella, are littermates of Muggins, Magnum and Sheena. Tha's Morgan on the left and Stella on the right.

While out for a walk on the TransCanada Trail near the the West Perimeter, Matias met up with Tara's new Wheaten, Callie.

A full of energy female who never stops, never.

No, No, No. You have that wrong.

  I'm his bodyguard!!

  What?

You mean Halloween is still two weeks away???

  (a watchful Wheaten)

A fine example of a senior wheaten

Murphy at 16yrs - lookin' good.

  Hmm, she said wait here
like a good wheaten
and I'll get a treat.
Maybe I'll whine for two
as it's getting cold on the tush!

  I think I need a haircut, really!

But be careful,

I have to maintain this incredible cuteness!

Break Time! Time for a Wet Wheaten Smooch!

She said we could go for a walk
when she finished shopping.

When oh when is she coming home???

She's not home yet???

How long do we have to wait for...

Hmm, seems a bit wavy to me, let's wait awhile...

Ah, the wind's died a bit and now it's much better.

Always listen to your Wheaten!

So, let's hear the choices again; a walk or a rest?
Do we really have to get up...

If someone suggests another walk around the Assiniboine Forest I'm just going to ignore them - I've had enough...

Ever notice how a Wheaten is able to "con" everyone else into doing things for them. You can almost hear Tara the Wheaten saying first; "Ah this is the life, just maxin' and relaxin'" and then; "Careful of the rocks Helen, you know I don't like bumps!"

So, after a chasing ducks what is a wheaten to do? Click on the picture to find out!

Nothing, I mean NOTHING smells better than sheets dried outside at the cottage!

Almost looks like someone whittled some wheatens out of a big tree, almost...

This Wheaten has figured out how to enjoy winter - stick your nose and face right in the snow!!

It's a big scary world out there, time to rest by Mom, she can keep me safe.

A boy and a dog playing find the stick in the middle of a Manitoba Winter. Does it get any better?

Amazing what the power of a promised "treat" can accomplish !

Murphy is 14+ years old. Some people would say that is 98 in human years. If so, isn't he in fantastic shape!

Maybe the snowman is worried that the wheaten may think hs's a fire hydrant...

Now this is an impressive sight, 5 wheatens sitting, together no less, for a photo. I have been assured it is not a PhotoShop trick but the real thing. I'll bet the owners are somewhere close and have promised all sorts of treats!

  Wheaten maxin and relaxin...

I AM NOT TOUCHING OR SMELLING THAT !!!

Click on the thumbnail to see why this wheaten is so sad...

Great shot of a Wheaten Greet'in...

My companion says he's geocaching, I'd rather wait on the path for an unsuspecting rabbit...

Wheatens sporting the latest fashions at Beaudry Park

Wheaten beachcombers at Blue Lake Ontario - simply a great campground!

Yes I was out for walk in the dry grass, why do you ask...

  Going for the sympathy vote...
Minor tail surgery and a couple of weeks of the 'cone' and life can return to normal.

The cone doesn't change the daily walk in the snow, now he has a snow plow!

Can you bring me my dish, I'm just a little stiff this morning...

Murphy at 13, fine looking Wheaten!

  But it's only snow !!!

  So true...

Sometimes the rinse cycle at our house,
even if it's Royal Dolton china...

  Want to trade??

Spring is always an interesting time with a Wheaten. Spring 2009 in Winnipeg is even more of a challenge as it was late in coming and we had more than the usual amount of snow and water. Sunday, April 12 was the first more or less decent day and we had the grandkids out for a walk on the TransCanada Trail (Harte Trail in Charleswood).

Now where is that stone I was chasing???

WHAT THE ???? Every time I jump he raises the stick !!

I think they're trying to make the driver sound his airhorn - how embarassing...

  Pals...

Can I get down now?

Let's see, will I attack the cat or have a nap? Ok, nap first...

Don't I look like a Wise Wheaten?

I think the dog wants to go out. Remember how we all waited for that great moment when your Wheaten signalled that he/she wanted to go out. Finally, patience rewarded!

      So, if
a group of unicorns is called a blessing,
a group of larks is called an exaltation,
a group of kangaroos is called a mob,
a group of whales is called a pod,
a group of geese is called a gaggle,
does that mean a group of Wheatens is called a waggle...

What a mooch! Just go to the neighbours when you need that extra little something...

     Which one is sleeping beauty...

Good nature shot

Winter fun!

SIMON proving that Wheatens love snow!

I can't believe I ate all those wieners, where's the Pepto!
